The Seven-Year Tribulation

Now let's look at Revelation Chapter 6. This is a guideline of what will take place during the seven-year
tribulation.

(1st Seal) Revelation 6:2: "And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a
crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer."

The white horse is a message of peace, but notice he that sat him had a bow. The "son of perdition" is
coming forth with a message of
peace, but at this same time he is ready for war.  He has declared war on all
who would spread terror in the world.  Notice it says "he was
given a crown."  He was given the office even
though it
was debated.  Some have thought that verse 2 was speaking of Jesus because it is similar to
Revelation 19:11-12:

"And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were
many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself."

This verse refers to Jesus.  Notice he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and not one, but many
crowns were upon his head.

(2nd seal) Revelation 6:4: "And there went out another horse that was red:  and power was given to him that
sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another:  and there was given unto him
a great sword."

This red horse represents a time of war leading up to the final battle of Armageddon; during this time millions
of people are killed.  The
great sword that is given unto him will be complete authority to make war at his will.

(3rd seal) Revelation 6:5-6:  "...And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of
balances in his hand.  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny,
and three measures of barley for a penny; and
see thou hurt not the oil and the wine."

This will be a time of famine.  A penny was a day's wage.  A day's wage will only buy a measure of wheat
(about a quart) or three measures of barley (3 quarts).  Hurt not the oil and the wine.
(Isaiah 24:13-15)  This
will be time of harvest for the souls on the earth.
(Matthew 13:37-43) God will see them through this time.
Trust in God.  The Lord Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Ghost, will deliver you.

(4th seal) Verse 8:"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell
followed him.  And power was given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger,
and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

Many will die from war, famine, pestilence and the beasts of the earth (the number 666). (Revelation 13:11)
Death will overtake many during this time.
