The Confirming of the Covenant

Daniel 9:27: "And, he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week..."

This covenant was confirmed in the year 2000. Before we give you the date and details, we would like to give
you a little history of the covenant made with Abraham.

Genesis 17:5:  "Neither shall thy name anymore be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a
father of many nations have I made thee."

Genesis 17:7-8:  "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their
generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.  And I will give unto
thee, and thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting
possession; and I will be their God."

However, because of Israel's sin, there was given a 490-year judgement against Israel in the book of Daniel.

Daniel 9:24: "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the
transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy."

The term week here is a seven-year period. Seventy, seven-year periods is 490 years.  This is the time that
has been determined for God's people to reconcile for sin and be prepared for his return.

Daniel 9:25:  "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to
build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince
shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks..."

From the time the command was given to rebuild Jerusalem, until the rebuilding was complete was seven
weeks or seven, seven year periods, which is 49 years.  From that time until Jesus was crucified was
threescore and two weeks or sixty two, seven-year periods, which is 434 years.  We know from history that this
is how long these time periods were.  If you take 49 and add it to 434, you will have 483 years.  When Jesus
was crucified it stopped the clock at 483 years.  This leaves one seven-year period to complete the
determined 490 years.

Daniel 9:27: "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall
cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make
it
desolate..."

When the covenant was confirmed with God's people, the final seven years began before Christ returns.  After
half this time, the daily sacrifice and prayer to God will be put to an end.  On October 7 of the year 2000 the
covenant
was confirmed.  You may think how could we be this close to when Jesus' returns and not know it?

In
Matthew 24:37-39 it says:

" But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were
before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered
into the ark.  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be."

During the "Six Day War" of 1967, Israel was outnumbered fifty to one.  Yet, Israel took on Egypt, Syria, and
Palestine.  In the six days of fighting Israel took the Golan Heights, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, the Sinai,
including the temple area and eastern Jerusalem, doubling their landmass before the United Nations called
for a ceasefire.  They were afraid Russia was going to get involved.  The United Nations stated they would
back Israel with nuclear power from the United States to prevent an all out war from taking place, drawing up
U.N. Resolution 242.

When the United Nations first established their constitution in 1945, their by laws stated that any country that
seized property by force had to return it.  However, because of the blunders and errors made in drawing up
U.N. Resolution 242, Israel was able to keep all the property that they seized.  God honored the covenant He
made with Abraham and his seed (Israel) in the fight and in the drawing up on U.N. Resolution 242.

Mark 13:28:  "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves..."

This was the beginning of the parable of the fig tree.  When Israel doubled its territory by putting forth leaves.
Christ said in:

Mark 13:30:  "Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done."

When this happened we were to watch for Christ's return for we are that generation.  From 1967 to 2007 is 40
years, which is a generation.

In 1991, the United States responded to the invasion of Kuwait by the Iraq army.  For the first time you hear in
the news about the "One World Order" showing their power.  At this point, we would like to point out that in
1967 the United Nations was strictly a
peace-keeping force, not a policing force as they had become in 1991.
Two years later President Clinton abandons U.N. Resolution 242 on September 30, 1993.

Resolution 242 is reinstated on October 7, 2000 with a policing force
for control staring the last week of
Daniel
(Daniel 9:27).  This is also the same month and year that the antichrist, the son of perdition, first
claimed his identity of 666.  (Refer to page 62)
