Revelation Chapter 13
Due to different attempts, that man has made to interpret the prophesies there are many theories on how they will
happen and what they are. This has led to many teachings that are untrue. People are looking for a sign that will
tell them that Christ will soon return, but Christ said in:
Matthew 12:39: "...An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but
the sign of the prophet Jonas..."
He also said this five more times in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke for a total of six warnings against
looking for a sign of Christ's return. Jonas warned the men of Nin'e-veh and they repented at the preaching of
Jonas.
II Thessalonians 2:10-12: "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they
received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness."
Some of the ways the Bible has been taught have people looking for a sign. People believe they can live however
they want, until a sign is given. People are looking for:
1. The temple of God to be rebuilt in Jerusalem
2. A man to receive a deadly wound to the head and be healed
3. Him to have supernatural powers to call fire down from heaven
4. This man to have one arm and one eye
5. This man to come out the 10 nation Roman Empire
6. The ancient city of Babylon to be rebuilt
7. The Catholic Church to be the mystery Babylon
8. The Pope to become the son of perdition/anitchrist
These are the most common signs people are looking for and there are others, but could it be these are the strong
delusions and lies that Christ was talking about? In addition, could the teaching that Christ could come at any time
and the catching away will take place before its time; have been a part of this strong delusion?
For in the book of II Thessalonians 2:1-3 it says:
"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that
the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come,
a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
First, this man has to be revealed. Could it be that the prophecies are being fulfilled, and the religious leaders are
too set in their ways to see it? Most definitely! Just like when Christ walked on the earth, He was fulfilling prophecy.
The Scribes and Pharisees claimed to know God, but they denied the faith, (the Power of God), the working of the
Holy Ghost.
It is sad that so many people do not read their Bibles. Few study it like they should but go on someone's words.
